A Missouri Lottery player was ecstatic to discover he had won a $50,000 prize in the Aug. 12 Powerball drawing. He purchased the winning ticket at Chestnut Market, 4201 Manchester Ave., in St. Louis.

“I was totally surprised! I’m going to pay some bills and maybe get a new truck,” chuckled the winner.

 His set of hand-picked numbers matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in that night’s drawing. The winning numbers were 4, 26, 66, 67 and 69, with a Powerball number of 9.

During FY25 players in St. Louis County won more than $195.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $18.8 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $47.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
