A Missouri Lottery player in Ste. Genevieve County was shocked to find he’d won a $50,000 Powerball prize. He purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket at Midway Bar & Grill, 13551 Highway 32, in Ste. Genevieve. The winning numbers for the June 29 drawing were 10, 14, 41, 53, and 59, with a Powerball number of 3.

The winner wasn’t alone in his surprise as he learned of the big win.

“I was out at a tavern, and I didn’t know I’d won yet,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it when the girl at the counter checked it and told me I’d won $50,000. Then the owner, who couldn’t believe it either, came in and checked it, and he said, ‘Yeah, it’s legit!’”

He said he’s using his winnings to invest.

In FY25, Ste. Genevieve County players won more than $2.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $218,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $650,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
