A Missouri Lottery player in Buchanan County won $1 million on a “$1,000,000 Money Blast” Scratchers ticket purchased at Casey’s, 401 E. Hyde Park Ave., in St. Joseph.

“I was really freaking out,” she recalled. “I was so blown away, I didn’t think it was real at first!”

The winner also shared plans to use some of her winnings to purchase a house.

In FY25, Buchanan County players won more than $14.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $5.1 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
