A Missouri Lottery player in O’Fallon couldn’t believe his eyes after uncovering a $50,000 prize on a “$250 Million Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket on April 1.

“I sat there in my truck for about 20 minutes looking at it, going, ‘It ain’t real.’” he shared.

He quickly returned home to have his wife double-check.

“I show her the ticket and asked her, ‘What does that say?’” he recalled “She looked at it and said, ‘Is it real?’ I said, ‘If you’re seeing what I’m seeing, I guess it is!’”

The winning ticket, purchased at Schnucks Market, 3029 Highway K in O’Fallon, held one of 50 third-tier $50,000 prizes in the “$250 Million Extravaganza” Scratchers game. To date, players have won more than $76.8 million in prizes. There are 39 additional $50,000 prizes that currently remain unclaimed, along with two $1 million second-tier prizes and two $5 million top prizes.

In FY25, St. Charles County players won more than $72.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $13.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
