his way home from work, a Missouri Lottery player stopped at Quick Stop, 12114 Blue Ridge Blvd. in Grandview, and decided to add a “$250 Million Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket to his purchase.

“I had worked all night and was pretty tired,” shared the winner. “But after the clerk told me I won $50,000, I was wide awake again!”

The winner was able to claim his prize later that day at the Lottery’s Kansas City regional office.

 So far, “$250 Million Extravaganza” players have won more than $76.2 million in prizes playing the $50 Scratchers ticket. Currently, there are over $191 million in prizes yet to be claimed in the game, including two top prizes of $5 million each, two $1 million prizes and 39 additional $50,000 prizes.

Last fiscal year, players in Jackson County won more than $96.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $8.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $31.6 million in Lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
