Lunch Plans Derailed by $3 Million Scratchers Win

A craving for Chinese food turned into a $3 million Scratchers prize when a Missouri Lottery player stopped by Circle K, 8401 Industrial Drive in Cedar Hill, to purchase a “$3 Million Supreme” ticket.

“I was on my way to get lunch at a Chinese restaurant, and I saw that store,” the winner explained. “I’d never played at that store before, so I thought I would try it.”

He took the ticket to his truck and scratched off the first space, only to find a $100,000 prize. Once he scratched off the ticket completely, he realized he had matched enough winning numbers to bring home one of the game’s top prizes of $3 million.

“Everything at that point was just a blur,” he said. “Needless to say, I didn’t make it to lunch!”

$3 Million Supreme” players have won over $44.9 million in prizes since the game began. Over $64.6 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including another top prize of $3 million and one $100,000 prize.

Players who purchased tickets in Jefferson County last fiscal year won more than $40.6 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $3.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $2.7 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
